How PepsiCo is successfully capturing more maintenance work and equipment history data than ever before, thanks to SAP Service and Asset Manager

PepsiCo, the global consumer products company, needed to replace an aging legacy application used for plant, fleet, and market equipment maintenance and close gaps in maintenance and equipment-history data. To support its maintenance teams, PepsiCo turned to SAP and the SAP Service and Asset Manager mobile app, integrated with SAP S/4HANA.

SAP implemented SAP Service and Asset Manager to give technicians on-site access to asset data, parts lookup, work-order creation, and photo capture tied to work orders. The solution helped PepsiCo record richer maintenance history, improve technician productivity, strengthen communication with planners, and improve cost and inventory accuracy through real-time parts tracking, with deployment growing from 20 sites to 100 planned by 2025 and about 3,000 users expected by 2025.
