How GWC moved to a private cloud solution that could support the FIFA World Cup event and allow it to innovate and grow
GWC, Qatar’s leading logistics and supply chain provider, needed a reliable private cloud system to support increasingly complex operations, including its role as the official logistics provider for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The company also had to integrate five third-party solutions and upgrade its existing SAP ECC environment, so it turned to SAP and RISE with SAP.
SAP implemented a cloud migration using SAP ERP and RISE with SAP, creating a stable and flexible environment with faster access to patches, innovations, and updates. The solution improved integration across systems, added new automation and functionality, and reduced technology infrastructure needs, with GWC going live in less than five months and planning to move to SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform next.
