Uniper, a global energy company operating in more than 40 countries, needed to replace its oversized and expensive legacy HR IT landscape with a leaner cloud-based approach. It wanted one HR service delivery solution to meet local employee needs in Germany, Sweden, and the UK, while also allowing restricted access to a third-party pension management system. SAP implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Service Center and provided consulting to configure the solution, standardize HR request handling, and support the move to a fit-to-standard approach. As a result, Uniper replaced its on-premise system, established a cloud-first foundation, and significantly reduced IT costs and complexity. The company also created a platform ready for additional functionality and interfaces for ticket handling in other countries.
