Eurasian Group LLP (ERG), a large Kazakhstan-based mining and metals company, needed a new human capital management system that could standardize HR and payroll processes across its operations while still accounting for regional differences. After previously working with SAP on finance and logistics capabilities, ERG turned to SAP for a localized HCM solution that could support its workforce of 65,000 employees.
SAP implemented SAP HCM for SAP S/4HANA, providing ERG with a single, high-performance HR platform localized for Kazakhstan and integrated for personnel management, payroll, and reporting. The result was a simplified HR landscape covering 38 companies, improved transparency and efficiency, and up to a 90% drop in employee complaints about payroll calculations, along with lower software maintenance costs.
