A SAP Case Study
Cubic, a technology-driven global provider of mission-critical transportation infrastructure and defense solutions, needed a better way to handle increasingly complex proposal cost estimation. Its teams were relying on manual, Excel-based models with no single source of truth, making it difficult to connect estimated costs to actuals and manage the hundreds of bids and proposals it produces each year. Cubic turned to SAP and Twenty5, using SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and Twenty5’s Integrated Project Pricing & Estimating (iPE) solution.
SAP and Twenty5 implemented a more connected, cloud-based estimating process that centralized cost, pricing, historical transaction, and project data in one database. The result was improved workflow efficiency, stronger reporting and approvals through SAP Analytics Cloud, better reuse of prior proposals and pricing data, and easier compliance with customer and government requirements. Cubic now controls about 700 complex proposals in one place each year and has reduced time and effort per proposal by 30%.
