Case Study: Viessmann achieves harmonized global supply chain planning with SAP Integrated Business Planning

A SAP Case Study

Preview of the Viessmann Case Study

How Do You Improve Digital Supply Chain Planning During a Global Pandemic

Viessmann, a global provider of sustainable climate and renewable energy solutions, needed to unify digital supply chain planning across 50 manufacturing sites and sales companies in nearly 30 countries. With growth expanding its footprint to 74 countries and COVID-19 disrupting demand, Viessmann turned to SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain to improve global demand planning, sales and operations planning, and overall supply chain coordination.

SAP implemented SAP IBP, integrated with Viessmann’s core SAP S/4HANA suite, to connect demand planning, forecasting, supply, and inventory planning in one platform. The result was harmonized planning processes, a single set of planning numbers, and better collaboration and forecasting accuracy, including an 8% reduction in forecasting errors and more than 5% improvement in inventory optimization, all delivered in just six months despite the pandemic.
