A SAP Case Study
Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, Germany’s federal authority for culture and the media, faced the challenge of re-engaging young people with local cultural offerings after the pandemic. Working with SAP, it set out to build a mobile app that would encourage 18-year-olds to discover theaters, museums, cinemas, and other cultural experiences while helping providers regain audiences and revenue.
Using SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Commerce Marketplace Management by Mirakl, SAP helped deliver the KulturPass app and digital marketplace for cultural offers. In the first six months, more than 285,000 young adults activated their virtual credit, over 1 million reservations were made, and sales exceeded €20.5 million, while more than 8,700 cultural providers joined the platform.
