Case Study: Brose accelerates supplier onboarding and cuts manual effort with SAP BTP

A SAP Case Study

Preview of the Brose Case Study

How Did the Cloud Enable Speedy Development of an Innovative Supplier Integration Application

Brose, the automotive supplier behind mechanical, electrical, electronic, and sensor systems for global car manufacturers, faced the challenge of managing more than 14,000 suppliers with an outdated supplier portal and fragmented user access. Its old system had limited functionality and was difficult to maintain, making it hard for Brose and its suppliers to manage multiple roles, usernames, and passwords efficiently. SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) was used with SAP ECC to support a new supplier integration approach.

SAP co-innovated with Brose and Capgemini to build the Capgemini Supplier Integration for Automotive application on SAP BTP, creating a centralized self-registration and single sign-on experience with intelligent identity management. The solution delivered a working first version in two weeks, cut supplier onboarding time by 50%, reduced manual effort by 80%, and lowered support workload by 20%, while improving collaboration across Brose’s supplier network.
