How Did a Smooth Transition to Cloud ERP Free Management to Focus on Sustainability

GasNet, the largest gas distributor in the Czech Republic, needed to replace an inflexible on-premise ERP system with a cloud solution while completing a company spin-off, meeting strict regulatory deadlines, and supporting its sustainability roadmap. Working with SAP and IBM, GasNet chose SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition, along with SAP Services and Support, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP Preferred Success to make the transition within 12 months.

SAP implemented the new cloud ERP on time and on budget, migrating 300,000 assets in less than a year and enabling a smooth year-end close after go-live. The project improved fixed-asset accounting, procurement, invoicing, and contract workflows, while giving GasNet the transparency and agility to focus on its 2050 carbon-neutral goal and future hydrogen transition; the company was also recognized with SAP Quality Awards for Customer Success.
