Danish Crown, a producer and commercializer of animal protein–based food, needed a more transparent and efficient way to obtain material specifications and supporting documents from suppliers to meet strict food safety, quality, and compliance requirements. The company also wanted a centralized platform to bring together data from multiple stakeholders. SAP PLM was selected to help address these challenges.
SAP implemented SAP Product Lifecycle Management (SAP PLM) with ERP integration to enable bidirectional specification exchange and more secure, digital collaboration with suppliers. The solution simplified processes by replacing emails and phone calls, supported audit-ready access to ingredients, origin, additives, and certificates, and helped Danish Crown onboard 1,500 suppliers in just 6 months.
