City of Hamburg needed a fast, secure way to deliver emergency cultural aid across Germany during a highly dynamic crisis, while keeping the process scalable, transparent, and compatible with different federal-state requirements. The city worked with SAP and used SAP Business Technology Platform alongside SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud to create an online application process for funding requests.

SAP enabled City of Hamburg to launch the digital aid platform in just three weeks, with 99.5% availability and around 7,500 cultural aid applications processed each month. The solution cut implementation effort by 80%, automated much of the workflow, improved fraud prevention and real-time reporting, and created a reusable model for future aid programs and other public services.
