How Can Real-Time Incident Reporting Help Safeguard Employee Welfare

Motor Oil, Corinth Refineries S.A., a major Greek refinery serving more than 45 countries, needed to improve employee safety by replacing slow, manual incident reporting. With many workers unable to submit reports directly, issues were delayed or missed, and the health and safety team spent too much time on administration and KPI reporting. Motor Oil turned to SAP and SAP EHS Management to modernize its incident management process.

SAP implemented SAP® Environment, Health, and Safety Management so all 1,500 refinery employees could submit incident reports through an interactive tablet form directly to the health and safety team. The solution reduced manual work, saved 25% of engineers’ time, and enabled 18x more employees to report incidents than before, helping Motor Oil respond faster and build a stronger safety culture.
