A SAP Case Study
Frankonia, a German retailer of hunting and shooting equipment with stores, catalogs, and e-commerce channels, needed a modern omnichannel point-of-sale approach to replace its legacy cash register system. The company also had to meet strict legal, fiscal, and industry-specific compliance requirements for regulated hunting and weaponry goods, while improving integration between in-store, mobile, and ERP processes. SAP Customer Checkout and SAP Fiori apps were used to support this transformation.
SAP implemented SAP Customer Checkout together with SAP Fiori apps and SAP for Retail integration to create a flexible, compliant POS environment tailored to Frankonia’s needs. The results included smoother checkout and voucher sales, better data transparency for sales management, improved compliance, digital receipts, and document archiving in A4 format. SAP also helped Frankonia increase stability and speed in POS processes and improve the customer experience across its 50+ stores and three retail channels.
