Shengmu, China’s largest organic milk supplier and a certified organic raw milk brand, wanted to become the world’s leading organic milk brand. To support that goal, the company needed a unified digital platform for its end-to-end value chain to improve supply chain operations, standardize data, and support “smart pasture” operations. Shengmu selected SAP S/4HANA to help address fragmented master data, disconnected financial reporting, and limited transparency across business units.
With SAP and implementation partner QZing Technology, Shengmu standardized business processes and data across its organization, logistics, finance, and supply chain, while introducing daily cost accounting and cattle management accounting. The project improved inventory turnover by 8.6%, reduced monthly financial closing from 7 days to 4 days, and automated cow-cost calculations. In total, SAP helped Shengmu improve operational efficiency, quality monitoring, and real-time management across the business.
