A SAP Case Study
Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation Limited (RES), a sugar and ethanol producer in Eswatini, needed better visibility and standardization of farm and field data to help its own estates and third-party growers operate more efficiently and sustainably. To support this, RES turned to SAP, using SAP Intelligent Agriculture and SAP BTP to digitize farming processes and improve decision-making across a business involving 2,500 farming families.
SAP implemented a centralized, data-driven platform that replaced manual task management and enabled RES to build custom tools for farmers and internal teams. The results included 100% automation of task management, 100% increase in transparency of farming tasks and operations, and a 90% increase in visibility of internal and third-party data, along with higher yields and better harvest planning.
