Fujitsu, a global high-tech IT services provider and long-time SAP partner, wanted to strengthen its business process transformation capabilities for both internal operations and customer offerings. The company also needed a better way to support digital transformation initiatives, including its SAP S/4HANA implementations, by using a more data-driven approach to process improvement. SAP Signavio was the featured solution.
SAP helped Fujitsu deploy SAP Signavio Process Intelligence to capture execution data from the shop floor and feed it into Fujitsu’s long-running Kaizen continuous improvement model. This gave the company deeper, previously unavailable insights and helped transform Kaizen into a digital, process-mining-driven practice. The results included a 33% reduction in manufacturing cycle time, a 46% increase in process compliance, and a 66% reduction in unnecessary lot movements, while also expanding Fujitsu’s customer portfolio and improving its ability to build stronger business cases.
