A SAP Case Study
Tennant Company, a 4,200-employee industrial manufacturing company, needed a better way to recruit and retain skilled operational, field-service, and office staff in a tight labor market while also managing complex state-by-state time and attendance compliance. Working with SAP, and using SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and SAP Time and Attendance Management, Tennant sought to create a more automated, integrated HR experience.
SAP helped Tennant implement automated time tracking, workforce scheduling, and a conversational AI recruiting assistant that answers candidate questions, schedules interviews by text, and supports applications across desktop and mobile. The results included a 26% job-search-to-application conversion rate, 41.5% engagement with the digital assistant, 26.5 hours saved answering 1,500 candidate questions in one quarter, a 20% reduction in auditing and reconciliation time per payroll run, and a 49% reduction in manual checks with improved timesheet accuracy.
