How Can a High-Tech Giant Adapt Business Processes with Agility to Meet Customers’ Needs

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), a global high-tech company, needed to modernize its business processes and adapt to the outcome-based economy to meet evolving customer requirements for new consumption models. The company also sought to consolidate its numerous disparate ERP systems. To address this challenge, HPE chose to partner with vendor SAP to implement its SAP S/4HANA solution.

The solution from SAP involved deploying SAP S/4HANA on HPE's own hardware to create a new end-to-end architecture. This implementation allowed HPE to consolidate nine ERP solutions into a single system and retire over 55% of its applications, leading to a significant reduction in IT running costs. The results included a greatly simplified IT landscape, more agile business operations, and an enhanced ability to quickly fulfill changing customer needs, with the saved budget being repurposed for innovation.
