A SAP Case Study
BHP, one of the world’s leading mining companies, needed to move beyond a traditional shared-services model that created silos, limited end-to-end visibility, and caused inefficiencies across critical business processes. To address these challenges, BHP worked with SAP and PwC Consulting Services Australia, using SAP Signavio to support a shift toward a single global business services operating model.
SAP helped BHP implement the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite, including SAP Signavio Process Intelligence and SAP Signavio Journey Modeler, to connect processes, reveal bottlenecks, and guide transformation with data-driven insights. The result was US$500 million in value from end-to-end process improvements and a 52% improvement in the global requisition-to-onboard process for production-critical roles, while also improving materials availability and operational effectiveness across the business.
