Grupo Ageas Portugal, a busy procurement organization, needed to streamline, centralize, and digitize its supplier management to handle thousands of annual purchases more efficiently. To support this transformation, the company turned to SAP, using SAP Ariba and other SAP solutions to replace its manual, paper-heavy procurement processes with a more modern, scalable system.

SAP helped implement a phased rollout with strong executive sponsorship, clear communication, and user training. As a result, over 1,100 suppliers registered, more than 500 contracts were put in place, 1,400 RFxs were logged, and over €115 million in annual transactional volume is now documented. Manual work was greatly reduced, contracts can be signed digitally, and procurement teams can focus on higher-value activities and better cost control.
