González Byass, the world’s largest sherry producer, wanted to strengthen its circular economy and zero-waste strategy while reducing plastics, label ink, and packaging waste across its operations and supplier network. To meet growing EU and global sustainability requirements, the company turned to SAP Responsible Design and Production to help centralize product, packaging, and regulatory data.

With SAP, González Byass centralized ERP and third-party data to monitor material use, calculate environmental fees and taxes, and improve visibility into supplier materials and product declarations. The result was more efficient reporting, better decision-making on sustainable design choices, and strong measurable outcomes, including 100% recycling of paper, cardboard, glass, and plastic waste and 99% recovery of waste generated.
