A SAP Case Study
Bristol Myers Squibb, the biopharmaceutical company based in Princeton, New Jersey, wanted to democratize AI for employees so they could get smarter answers from company-specific data, language, and workflows. To address this challenge, the company worked with SAP to build an intelligent assistant on SAP Business Technology Platform, using SAP Build Work Zone and a SAP Fiori app connected to SAP S/4HANA and Azure OpenAI.
SAP implemented a live AI-powered app that searches live and historical SAP data plus general knowledge, then returns tailored responses through a familiar work portal. The result was improved productivity by 1%, with future profit impact estimated at 3–5%, along with 99% answer accuracy and faster, more informed decision-making across the organization.
