A SAP Case Study
Gasunie Transport Services, a major energy transportation company in the Netherlands, needed to modernize its legacy SAP R/3 landscape to support the energy transition, improve data consistency, and scale operations across a more complex business and compliance environment. Working with SAP, the company launched Project MAX to replace manual processes, reduce master data and GIS-SAP inconsistencies, and create a more flexible foundation for future growth.
SAP implemented a cloud-first SAP S/4HANA solution with clean core principles, supported by SAP BTP, SAP Ariba, SAP Service and Asset Manager, SAP Analytics Cloud, and related reporting and integration tools. The result was a more standardized and future-ready enterprise model with real-time analytics, stronger reporting, and improved operational efficiency; the project reached 89% clean core compliance, redesigned 73 integrations, and delivered 23 SAP S/4HANA modules for 3,000+ users handling about 13,000 orders per month.
