A SAP Case Study
TCL Corporation, a major high-tech manufacturer of electronic products and Internet application services, faced challenges in creating a unified data platform to improve its financial management. The company needed to integrate data and processes across its many subsidiaries to address demands for financial consolidation, management consolidation, and business analytics. To overcome these hurdles, TCL partnered with SAP to implement the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) application.
The SAP solution, powered by the SAP HANA platform, provided a direct-connected architecture for real-time data queries and the efficient integration of business and financial data. This implementation significantly streamlined TCL's financial operations. The results were substantial, including reducing the financial data consolidation cycle for over 300 subsidiaries to just five days and automating 93.8% of the data connection to the financial system, greatly improving data quality and management efficiency.
