A SAP Case Study
Essen für Alle, a Zurich-based NGO focused on reducing food waste and fighting hunger in Switzerland, needed a stable, user-friendly way to coordinate volunteers and capture recipient data for the 1,200+ people it supports each Saturday. SAP helped the organization address these challenges with a cloud-based solution built on SAP BTP and SAPUI5.
SAP implemented a scalable system that streamlined volunteer coordination and introduced QR-code-based check-in cards to capture recipient information directly into the system. The solution freed around 120 volunteers from manual data entry, enabled better analytics and reporting, and supported 4,200 recipient registrations since go-live, all while improving operational efficiency and preparing Essen für Alle for future SAP functionality such as inventory management.
