The utility company TECO Energy, an Emera Inc. company, faced challenges with siloed HR data that was inaccessible to its field employees. Its existing on-site systems were not cloud-based, leading to cumbersome recruiting and onboarding processes. The company turned to vendor SAP for a modern solution to integrate its human resources and provide mobile flexibility for its workforce.
SAP implemented its cloud-based SuccessFactors solutions, integrated with the existing on-premise SAP ERP application using the SAP Cloud Platform Integration service. This was complemented by SAP Fiori apps for mobile accessibility. This solution from SAP resulted in lower implementation, support, and hosting costs by using prepackaged integration templates and replacing manual processes with automation. The project led to faster time to value with real-time HR data integration and better overall system and data management.
