Empowering Dental Practice Business Assistants with Heartbeat Engage and SAP Build Work Zone

Heartland Dental, a healthcare company supporting more than 2,700 doctors across 1,700 offices, struggled with helping business assistants manage daily work across 40+ systems. With SAP Build Work Zone and SAP HANA Cloud, the company wanted a more intuitive way to prioritize tasks, improve onboarding, and reduce the complexity of scheduling, production, and collections work for its business assistants.

SAP implemented Heartbeat Engage, a cloud-based, role-based digital workplace built on SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition, with data from SAP HANA Cloud and support from SAP Business Application Studio. The solution rolled out to 200 supported offices and 570 business assistants, with 40 tasks available and 24 used daily per office, saving 33 work hours per day across the initial 200 offices and improving efficiency, employee satisfaction, and patient service.
