Diakonie Nord Nord Ost, a German social care organization with more than 70 facilities, was struggling with complex, siloed processes and costly in-house systems that couldn’t keep up with its digitalization goals. It turned to SAP, using RISE with SAP and SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition, to standardize and future-proof its ERP environment.

With SAP, Diakonie Nord Nord Ost streamlined financial and procurement processes, including invoice handling, accounting, bank connectivity, and internal billing, while also rolling out SAP Ariba to replace paper-based purchasing. The results included an 84% reduction in the time needed to release invoices, a cut in daily invoice approvers from about 1,200 to around 200, and automatic yearly updates that improved employee satisfaction.
