DFPCL Realizing a Strategic Plan to Move Closer to End Consumers and Become a Specialty Player

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation (DFPCL), a leading Indian chemicals and fertilizers producer, wanted to reinvent its business processes and eliminate manual work, data inconsistencies, and limited visibility across operations. To support its move closer to end consumers and become a specialty player, DFPCL turned to SAP, using SAP S/4HANA and the “Customer First” program to build a more integrated, future-ready foundation.

SAP implemented SAP S/4HANA to streamline product costing, profitability analysis, warehouse rent management, freight and handling controls, and inventory planning. The result was faster month-end closing and reporting, a single source of truth, improved decision-making, and stronger operational control, including up to 20% faster finance and controlling reporting, 20% lower carbon footprint, 10% lower SAP landscape maintenance costs, and US$94 million in spend visibility and control.
