CHC Energia, a Madrid-based utilities provider supplying energy services to consumers and small and medium-sized enterprises, needed to create more innovative, tailored offerings while improving control over IT incidents and reducing dependence on outsourced services. To address these challenges, CHC Energia turned to SAP and its SAP S/4HANA Cloud for energy utilities, private edition.
SAP implemented a standardized cloud solution that unified financial and energy-related data, automated metering, billing, and invoicing, and introduced an integrated meter-to-cash process. As a result, CHC Energia gained a single source of truth, reduced cost to serve and total cost of ownership, and improved execution visibility; the project went live in 13 months, delivered 50% better billing capabilities, and enabled 25% faster time to market.
