Cellcentric, a joint venture of Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group, needed to move from an R&D-focused IT setup to a scalable technology foundation for mass production of hydrogen fuel cell systems. To do that, the company sought to replace its existing SAP ERP-based landscape with a modern cloud ERP and standardized cloud solutions for manufacturing and HR, while aligning processes for future growth.

SAP helped Cellcentric implement SAP Signavio Process Manager, SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, SAP Integration Suite, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Enable Now, supported by SAP MaxAttention and SAP Activate. The result was a robust digital backbone with standardized processes and better training access, enabling rapid scaling of production; key outcomes included a 99% fit-to-standard deployment, more than 600% scaled production output, and go-live in production assembly in just 3 months.
