A SAP Case Study
CRE Inc., a logistics real estate company in Japan, needed a faster, more compliant way to manage heavy transportation and travel expense reimbursements. Its legacy process was cumbersome, relied on paper forms and spreadsheets, and required employees to physically come to the office to submit claims, creating delays and governance risk. CRE turned to SAP’s SAP Concur portfolio, including Concur Expense and IC Card Integration for Concur Expense, to streamline the process and meet new electronic bookkeeping regulations.
SAP implemented an automated, localized expense management workflow that linked IC card travel data directly into Concur Expense and enabled electronic approvals and reimbursements. As a result, CRE cut the time needed for expense reimbursement processes by 80% and reduced manual effort for transportation expense management by 80%; 100% of reimbursements can now be approved electronically and 100% of transportation expense data is managed digitally.
