A SAP Case Study
Coop Norge, one of Norway’s largest supermarket chains, wanted to improve forecasting and replenishment across its 1,200 stores, but inaccurate inventory data and complex manual processes limited the use of its SAP Forecasting and Replenishment application. The retailer also needed a better way for store associates to keep stock records accurate and gain a more complete view of inventory for its e-commerce channel.
SAP, working with retailsolutions AG, implemented new Neptune-based store apps to simplify goods receipts, returns, and stock transfers, creating a single source of stock information. As a result, Coop Norge expanded fully automated forecasting and replenishment to 85% of product categories and is saving more than €30 million per year by improving stock availability, reducing fresh food waste, and increasing revenues and sustainability.
