Coop Group, one of Switzerland’s largest retail and wholesale companies, faced the challenge of integrating its acquired home improvement chain Jumbo and harmonizing Bau + Hobby operations under the Jumbo name. To support this transformation, the company needed to standardize systems and processes, strengthen cybersecurity, and improve data management using SAP S/4HANA and SAP MaxAttention services from SAP.

SAP helped Coop Group replace Jumbo’s legacy business landscape with Coop Group’s IT infrastructure built on SAP S/4HANA, using a fit-to-standard approach. The result was a simpler, more agile ERP environment with automated and harmonized processes, decommissioned legacy systems, and real-time visibility for better decisions; Coop Group also reported improved brand performance, including a 23% increase in the proportion of main buyers engaging with the home improvement store.
