Computacenter, a UK-based IT sourcing and services company, needed to replace its complex legacy web shop with a simpler, more flexible self-service experience for end users. With help from SAP, it turned to SAP Commerce and SAP Business Technology Platform to support personalized ordering, custom catalogs, and faster onboarding across corporate and public sector clients.
SAP implemented the TechSource engagement portal, enabling Computacenter to quickly configure client-branded purchasing journeys and integrate reporting and analytics. The results were strong: 350 major clients now use personalized portals, online orders rose 300%, the system handled up to 800 orders per hour with 100% uptime, and Computacenter shipped 2 million laptops during the pandemic, with orders reaching warehouse processing in just 20 minutes.
