Chuden CTI, the IT subsidiary of Chubu Electric Power, needed to move away from a highly customized IT landscape and establish standardized processes to support its digital transformation goals. The company wanted to improve transparency, efficiency, and productivity while building skills for emerging technologies, and turned to SAP for support with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Concur solutions.

SAP implemented an integrated, fit-to-standard IT environment that streamlined finance, HR, and expense management processes. The results included a 33% reduction in the monthly closing period to two days, about a 50% cut in time spent on expense reimbursement, and better data-driven decision-making through improved visibility and analytics. SAP also helped Chuden CTI upskill more than 50 IT engineers, strengthening its ability to drive innovation.
