Carve-out of SAP ECC and Migrate to RISE with SAP S/4HANA as a Single Step to Deliver Security Solutions

Securitas, a security and investigations company based in Stockholm, needed to carve out its business from Stanley Black & Decker’s SAP ECC environment and migrate to SAP S/4HANA 2022 on RISE with SAP while meeting an aggressive TSA deadline. The project had to move about 2 million records, integrate legacy systems, and support a near-zero-downtime approach, all while creating a standalone SAP environment for future growth.

SAP, working with GyanSys, helped implement a hybrid migration strategy with repeated lower-environment testing, performance tuning, and error remediation. The solution successfully moved Securitas to a modern SAP S/4HANA platform in 11 months, reduced the database from 8.5TB to 850GB, and streamlined financial processing with RAR automation and improved performance for continued growth.
