A SAP Case Study
Carl Zeiss AG, a global leader in optics and optoelectronics, needed to standardize and harmonize its business and IT processes as part of a worldwide transformation to SAP S/4HANA. The company wanted a global template and central ERP platform to improve operational excellence, manage process variants, and involve stakeholders early in the transformation. SAP Signavio Process Governance and SAP Signavio Process Manager were used to support this effort.
SAP, together with Deloitte, implemented a business-driven transformation model using SAP Signavio to create globally harmonized process governance and a central collaboration platform. The result was greater transparency, a harmonized process landscape, and a faster rollout; template processes were reduced to about 600, and the new governance and tool chain delivered measurable optimization across global processes.
