Cablex, a Swisscom subsidiary specializing in ICT network infrastructure services, needed to modernize a fragmented ERP landscape to manage two million service orders a year more efficiently. With SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori, the company aimed to simplify operations, improve transparency across projects and the value chain, and support growth, including the integration of 1,000 employees from Swisscom.
SAP implemented a single, modern ERP instance that connected core processes, standardized workflows, and gave employees a more intuitive experience. The results included a 33% reduction in ERP interfaces, a drop in customized ABAP modules from 200 to 20, 10% lower maintenance costs, and a 5x improvement in contract transparency, while also enabling faster, more profitable project execution for more than 4,000 users.
