VMware, a hi-tech company with 38,300 employees, needed a better way to manage incentive compensation for its sellers. Its commission cycles were taking 24–48 hours, visibility into attainment and payouts was limited, and the company lacked the flexibility to quickly configure or update plans. VMware chose SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management to improve accuracy, reporting, and auditing.
SAP implemented SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management to consolidate more than 700 incentive plans into fewer than 50 and provide clearer dashboards and better control over compensation logic. As a result, VMware reduced commission calculation and processing time from several days to a few hours, while enabling accurate, on-time seller payments and cleaner financial reporting.
