Honda faced the challenge of transforming its operations to support a carbon-neutral, all-electric future while managing a fragmented HR technology landscape. American Honda Motor Company Inc. worked with SAP and SAP SuccessFactors HCM to replace multiple core HR, timekeeping, and payroll systems with a unified, cloud-based HR environment that could better support workforce planning, skills development, and efficiency.
SAP implemented SAP SuccessFactors solutions, including Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation, and Succession & Development, along with Joule-powered AI features to automate tasks and improve HR decisions. The results include a single source of data for 30,000 associates, stronger efficiency, and better associate experience; in pilot surveys, more than 90% of users cited efficiency as the top benefit and over 80% were highly satisfied with the AI capabilities.
