A SAP Case Study
Brückner Maschinenbau, a German industrial manufacturing company that designs and builds film stretching lines, faced the challenge of managing a highly complex supplier and logistics network with a fragmented EDI landscape. To improve collaboration and automate more of its ordering and shipping processes, it turned to SAP, using SAP Business Network for Supply Chain.
SAP, with support from SAP Enterprise Support and CNT Management Consulting, implemented a centralized EDI solution and integrated the first pilot suppliers in just 22 weeks. The result was a more automated logistics process with over 80% of inbound goods now carrying machine-readable barcodes, delivery slips stored automatically, and three times more orders processed with the same number of staff.
