A SAP Case Study
Syntax, a Montreal-based professional services firm, struggled with cumbersome timesheet tracking and delayed billing that hurt cash flow, increased days sales outstanding (DSO), and forced consultants to rely on shadow systems like Excel and handwritten notes. To improve efficiency and employee experience, Syntax worked with SAP to modernize time logging using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
SAP helped Syntax implement a generative AI-enabled, natural-language task tracker through SAP AppHaus and SAP Business AI. The solution automated real-time time entry, eliminated manual rework and shadow processes, and sped up invoicing; Syntax expects it could save up to CA$100,000 for each day payments are received earlier, while also reducing errors, disputes, and DSO.
