A SAP Case Study
BYK-Cera, a global supplier of specialty chemicals, faced declining forecast accuracy after its legacy demand planning application was discontinued. The company had been relying on disconnected planning tools and manual processes, making it difficult to achieve transparency across sales, operations, and demand planning. To address this, BYK-Cera turned to SAP and its cloud-based SAP Integrated Business Planning for demand solution, supported by SAP Services and Support.
SAP implemented SAP Integrated Business Planning for demand and SAP Supply Chain Control Tower, helping BYK-Cera standardize and integrate planning across teams. The result was a single source of truth, improved data and process transparency, and more accurate forecasting using real-time demand updates. SAP also enabled more than 200 employees with an integrated planning tool and established quantity- and value-based planning to support better financial decision-making.
