Bavaria Film Cloud Solution Takes the Reins of Financial Management

Bavaria Film, a major German media and entertainment group, needed to modernize and harmonize its financial processes across multiple subsidiaries. Different master data and ID numbers made intercompany billing, reconciliation, reporting, and project tracking slow and error-prone. Bavaria Film chose SAP S/4HANA Cloud from SAP to create a standardized, scalable financial platform.

SAP implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud across the group’s operating companies, giving Bavaria Film a common system for accounting, dashboards, reporting, and audit data access. The result was faster and more secure financial operations, with closures about 50% faster and a goal of reducing month-end close from 12 days to 6. SAP also helped Bavaria Film achieve error-free group billing, clearer figures across all business units, and easier reconciliation and reporting.
