A SAP Case Study
Banque Cantonale de Fribourg (BCF), a Swiss commercial bank, sought to streamline its governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) processes to improve transparency and maintain its efficiency leadership. Their challenges included automating loss and policy management, improving the scalability of GRC reporting, and integrating these processes into their broader IT landscape. To address this, the bank turned to vendor SAP and its SAP® GRC solutions, including the SAP Risk Management and SAP Process Control applications.
With the support of implementation partner Riscomp, SAP replaced the bank's legacy systems with its standardized GRC solutions. This implementation provided preconfigured functionality, automated key processes, and integrated policy management. The results included a 15% reduction in risk events, a 20% increase in risk and control management efficiency, and a 50% reduction in the time needed for loss documentation. SAP's solution also delivered faster approvals, reduced paper usage, and provided real-time insights for the bank.
