Automated creation of test script – leveraging GenAI agents

PwC Switzerland worked with Accelleron, a global SAP client, to address the heavy burden of regression testing before SAP S/4HANA Cloud upgrades. With testing required twice a year across 40 countries, the process demanded about 6,400 hours and created a significant risk of delays, cost overruns, and business disruptions.

PwC implemented an AI-driven test automation solution on SAP BTP using SAP Business AI, AI Core, AI Launchpad, and SAP’s “Test Your Process” app to automatically create country-specific test variants and assign test data. The result was a 92% reduction in test case generation effort, saving more than 9,000 manpower hours and over CHF 590,000 annually, while improving reliability and reducing upgrade risk.
