Automated creation of test script – leveraging GenAI agents

PwC Switzerland worked with Accelleron, a global SAP customer, to solve the heavy manual burden of regression testing for SAP S/4HANA Cloud upgrades. With tests required twice a year across 40 countries, the process took about 6,400 hours and created a major risk to business continuity.

SAP and PwC implemented an AI-powered test automation solution on SAP BTP, using SAP AI Core, AI Launchpad, LangChain, and SAP’s “Test Your Process” Fiori app to automatically generate country-specific test variants and test data. The result was a 92% reduction in testing effort, saving more than 9,000 manpower hours and about CHF 296,000 per upgrade cycle, while improving system stability and reducing disruption risk.
