A SAP Case Study
The Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection, tasked with managing immigration and border control, faced challenges with inefficient, paper-based human capital management (HCM) processes and a lack of tools to foster employee collaboration and innovation. To cut costs and improve productivity, the department sought a modern, cloud-based solution and turned to vendor SAP for its SuccessFactors HCM and SAP Jam platforms.
SAP implemented its SuccessFactors solutions for recruitment, learning, and performance management, alongside the SAP Jam social software platform for collaboration. This cloud-based approach eliminated paper from recruitment, reduced new employee forms from 13 to 2, and created a transparent culture for innovation. The department achieved significant cost savings, increased efficiency at all levels, and even developed a new paperless visa application tool as a direct result of the technological partnership with SAP.
