ARAG, a leading German insurance group operating in 19 countries, wanted to accelerate innovation and build a scalable cloud foundation to support growth, AI, and low-code development. To do that, the company needed help moving its legacy on-premises environment to the cloud while keeping costs down and reducing risk, and it turned to SAP with RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, and SAP Services and Support.
SAP helped ARAG lift and shift selected SAP systems and data to RISE with SAP on Microsoft Azure using cloud application and optimization services. The migration was completed in seven months, minimized business disruption, eliminated upfront hardware investment, reduced ongoing maintenance costs, and gave ARAG a more agile architecture prepared for future expansion and a move to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.
